Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026. Plain-language summary: almost nothing you do in an AMAADOR Tools tool ever leaves your browser.
1. Overview
AMAADOR Tools ("we," "us," "our") operates mastories.com (the "Site"), a collection of free, browser-based productivity tools for office workers, freelancers, students, teachers, managers, and event organizers. This Privacy Policy explains what information, if any, is collected when you visit the Site or use its tools, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.
AMAADOR Tools is built around a simple principle: your files and your data belong to you. The large majority of tools on this Site (password generators, PDF utilities, image tools, QR code generators, unit converters, text and JSON utilities, and every event-organizer tool) run entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript. We do not operate a backend server that receives, processes, or stores the files, text, or numbers you work with in these tools. If you close the tab, that data is gone, because it was never sent anywhere in the first place.
A small number of tools do communicate with third-party services in order to function (for example, the currency converter needs live exchange rates), and this policy describes exactly what is shared in those cases in Section 4 below.
2. Information We Collect
We do not require you to register, log in, or submit personal information to use any tool on this Site. Specifically:
- We do not collect, view, store, or have access to the content you process in a tool, including PDF files, images, generated passwords, calculator inputs, JSON you paste in, or text you count or format. These operations happen locally on your device.
- We do not require an email address, name, or any account information to use any tool.
- Our web hosting provider and/or content delivery network may automatically log standard, aggregate technical information common to virtually every website (such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and timestamp of the request) for the purposes of security, abuse prevention, and basic operational monitoring. This information is not used by us to build an individual profile of you, and we do not combine it with any content you enter into a tool (which, again, we never receive).
- If we add privacy-respecting, aggregate traffic analytics in the future (for example, to see which tools are most useful so we can improve them), we will update this section to describe what is collected and how.
3. Local Storage & Cookies
Some tools save small amounts of data directly in your browser using a technology called localStorage, so your work is still there the next time you open the tool on the same device and browser. Examples include the Event Budget Tracker (saved line items and totals) and the RSVP / Guest List Tracker (saved guest entries and RSVP status). We also use a tiny localStorage entry to remember whether you prefer light or dark mode.
Data saved this way:
- Stays only on your own device: it is never uploaded, transmitted, or made visible to us or to any third party.
- Persists until you clear it yourself, either using an in-tool "clear" or "reset" option (where provided), by clearing your browser's site data or cache, or by using private/incognito browsing.
- Is not backed up by us. If you clear your browser data or switch to a different device or browser, that locally saved information cannot be recovered, because we never had a copy of it.
Separately from local storage, some third-party services embedded on the Site (primarily Google AdSense, described below) may set their own cookies or use similar tracking technologies (such as device identifiers) in your browser for advertising purposes. We do not control the specific cookies these third parties set; please see their own policies for details.
4. Third-Party Services
To keep every tool free and to avoid running our own servers that would need to handle your files, a few features rely on external, third-party services. Here is exactly what that involves:
- Google AdSense. This Site displays advertising served by Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-9949944139997362). Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. You can learn how Google uses this data, and manage or opt out of personalized advertising, at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and via Google Ads Settings.
- Currency exchange rates (frankfurter.app). The Currency Converter tool sends a request directly from your browser to frankfurter.app, a free, open exchange-rate API, in order to fetch current conversion rates. That request typically includes only the currency codes involved and standard network metadata (such as your IP address) inherent to any web request; we do not route this request through our own servers, and we do not log or store what you convert. Use of that data by frankfurter.app is governed by its own terms, not by us.
- CDN-hosted open-source libraries. Tools such as PDF Merge, PDF Split, and the QR Code Generator load small, well-established open-source JavaScript libraries (for example, pdf-lib and a QR-encoding library) from public content delivery networks. Your browser fetches that script directly from the CDN, which may log standard technical request data under its own policy. The libraries themselves then run locally in your browser: your files and data are not uploaded to the CDN or to us.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share any data with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes beyond the ad-serving relationship with Google AdSense described above.
5. Children's Privacy
This Site is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because AMAADOR Tools requires no account, no sign-up, and no submission of personal information to use any tool, the risk of inadvertently collecting a child's personal data is inherently minimal. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below so we can address it.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our tools, legal requirements, or the third-party services we use. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
7. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how AMAADOR Tools handles data, contact us at youssef@amaador-hse.com.
Frequently asked questions
Do you see the files or text I use in a tool?
No. Nearly every tool processes your input entirely inside your own browser using JavaScript. We do not operate a server that receives your files, images, passwords, or text, so we have nothing to see, store, or lose.
Does clearing my browser data delete anything you hold about me?
Clearing your browser data deletes anything saved locally via localStorage (such as a saved budget or guest list) on your own device. We never held a copy of it, so there is nothing further for us to delete on our side.
How do I opt out of personalized ads?
Visit Google Ads Settings to manage or opt out of personalized advertising, and see Google's ad technology policy for details on how AdSense uses cookies.
