Is my payslip data uploaded to a server?

No. All text extraction and analysis happens directly in your browser using PDF.js. Your payslip file and its contents are never uploaded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.

Why are some fields blank after I upload my payslip?

Payslip layouts vary widely, so the automatic reader is best-effort: it searches for common labels like gross pay or net pay and grabs the nearest number. If a field could not be matched it is left blank so you can fill it in yourself, always compare the extracted numbers against your real payslip.

What does the warning about Gross minus deductions mean?

It appears when gross pay minus your entered deductions does not closely match the net pay you entered. This usually means either a deduction line was not captured, or a figure was misread from the PDF. Correct any field directly, the corrected values are used for every calculation on this page.
