Can I change the number of criteria and performance levels?

Yes. Use "Add criterion" or the × button next to a row to change how many grading criteria you have, and "Add performance level" or the × button next to a column heading to change how many levels (e.g. Excellent/Good/Fair/Poor) you score against. A rubric always keeps at least one row and one column.

Does the Print button create a clean PDF without the editing controls?

Yes. Clicking "Print / Save as PDF" opens your browser's print dialog with a print-only layout: the input fields, add/remove buttons, and site navigation are hidden, leaving just the rubric title and the finished table. Choose "Save as PDF" as the destination in the print dialog to save a PDF file instead of printing on paper.

Is my rubric saved anywhere, and can I export it to Excel?

Nothing is saved or uploaded; the rubric only exists in your browser tab while you're editing it. Use "Download as CSV" to export the full grid (title, criteria, levels, and descriptor text) as a .csv file, which opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet program.
